2018 has been one of the most creative and successful years for Motocraft, and it was mainly due to the great effort, teamwork and work ethic put in by the people of the company, driven to achieve both annual and overall goals of Motocraft.  

 

Digital Presence 

In order to enhance its digital presence, Motocraft re-designed its website with its main goal being to provide a more efficient service to their customers and partners.

The new website currently operates as an e-shop, and it contains a great quantity of products which are comprised of detailed technical descriptions, so that the website visitors have all the necessary information and place their order with ease.

Events

This year Motocraft participated in the international shipping event of Posidonia, which takes place every 2 years at Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Center, and had the opportunity to promote the products it represents to the both Greek and International shipping audience.

The company also took part in the Athens Boat Show of 2018, which was organized at the Olympic Fencing Center and had  an increased number of visitors compared to previous years. Motocraft’s stand was able to attract professionals, boat owners, and visitors from abroad who showed great interest in the products showcased at the event.

Cimco Marine announced its collaboration with BMW to develop an outboard diesel with the 3.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo Inline-6-Cylinder Diesel engine.

 

 

BMW's 3.0L diesel engine will be the basis for the new outboard engines that will be available in 225hp, 250hp, 275hp, and 300hp.

After years of development and testing of parts separately and in controlled DYNO environment, the OXE 300 has now (November 2018) been tested on water for the first time. We are proud to announce that we are ahead of schedule regarding testing and that so far all testing has been successful. 

From now on the prototype series will undergo an extensive test programme to ensure that the product delivers on our customers expectations, as previously been communicated the goal is to launch the OXE 300 in 2020.

The OXE is the world’s first high-performance diesel outboard. It combines the reliability and endurance of marine inboards with the flexibility and agility of outboard engines. It is the only outboard that complies with EPA Tier-III, IMO Tier II and RCD emissions and environmental standards. It is designed and built for commercial user after and is the perfect match form tender engines.

Cimco Marine AB, the manufacturer behind the engine, started this project with the mission to design the first high output diesel outboard, the keywords were durability, endurance and performance. These words are now embedded within the OXE Diesel KRETA. The patented technology has enabled Cimco to design a robust drive unit that will effectively transfer high torque diesel power from the engine to the propeller. Combined with a modular layout, easily accessible service points, interchangeable gear ratios and proven diesel technology, ensures for a product fit for commercial use.

The OXE Diesel KRETA is designed with ”single-fuel” directive in mind. It offers an effective and safe solution for yacht tenders were range, load carrying performance and running costs are significant factors. The power head, a proven robust diesel engine developed by the GM group, is marinized and tested by the engineers at Cimco Marine AB. The compact design of the lower housing enables high efficiency and high-speed capability.

Nanni Diesel announced their new partnership with Beneteau, as their exclusive engine supplier for the brand-new Figaro Beneteau 3.

 

The Figaro Beneteau 3 is the first sail yacht with a foiling one-design monohull ever to be produced, in order to achieve high performances in yacht sailing competitions. The Figaro Beneteau 3 will enter the ISO/World Sailing design category A.
