Calibrate Trim and List Angle


How to set up the trim angle calibration

1. press menu button and
2. go to settings and press the right arrow key
3. then go to trim angle calibration
4. and press the reset button
5. go down to list angle and press the reset button
6. now both trim and list are calibrated to zero degrees


Set Up Auto Trim


How to set up Auto Trim

1. From factory the system does not contain a trim curve
2. so after the sea trial it's time to enter a trim curve to the system
3. go to menu and select automatic trim control
4. pressing the right arrow key, press edit to make a new curve
5. use the right and left arrow keys to select the speed where you want to change the interceptor stroke
6. using the up and down arrow keys you can select the interceptor stroke from zero to 100%
7. use the optimal points from the sea trial and try to interpolate a curve between these points
8.when you're done press save and if you want you can change the name
9.in total you have four memory positions so this curve we call light for light load
10.you can also make a heavy load curve and so on
11.now press auto trim to activate the function and time to do the Sea trial
12.so increase the speed and see how the interceptors are now automatically adjusting the trim according to the speed of the boat
13.if you look in the top right corner you will see the name of your trim curve


Set Up Auto List


How to set up automatic list control

1. To enter the menu go to menu button and press the down arrow key to automatic list control
2. press the right arrow key to enter the menu
3. here you can adjust sensitivity
4. typically smaller boats require a lower value
5. go down to adjust activation speed and deactivation speed
6. you can also adjust turn detect limits, turn exit limits, true turn compensation and deactivation ramp speed
7.exit the menu
8.at sea trial, try the function
9.adjust sensitivity if necessary
10.when the boat is listing, the interceptors will conversate to keep the boat at even keel


Set Up Coordinated Turn


How to set up of coordinated turn control

1. Press the menu button and go down to advanced setup
2. click the right arrow key, enter code A0 and click apply
3. go down, to coordinator turn control, press the right arrow key and there you can see the menu for coordinated turn control
4. you can adjust the rudder deadband, you can select that coordinator turn is always on and also edit the curve for coordinator turn


Set Up Active Stabilization


How to set up active ride control

1. Go to menu by pressing the menu button and go to active ride control
2. press right key to enter the menu
3. here you can enable and disable the pitch control and adjust the pitch damping sensitivity, basically how fast the system will respond. Smaller boats typically require a lower value
4. roll control enabled on off and the roll damping sensitivity, same thing here smaller boats require typically a lower value and larger boats can have a higher value
5. to set a higher value you need to enter the passcode A0 and then press apply
6. now the value can be increased
7. exit the menu and now you can activate the function
8. time to do the sea trial and test the function
9. drive at cruising speed and adjust sensitivity if necessary


Set Up Rudder Input Signal


How to setup up Rudder Input Signal for coordinated turn

1. Enter the menu by clicking the menu button and go down to advanced setup
2. click the right arrow key and enter code A0 and press apply
3. go down to rudder input signal and press the right arrow key, with the plus or minus button select the source for rudder input signal
4. now it's time to calibrate the steering, go down to calibrate port and make a full turn to port and then press the set button to save this value
5. go down to calibrate starboard and make a full turn to starboard and then press the set button to save this value
6. now go up to calibrate center and put the steering into centre position, then press set to save the value
7. activate coordinator turn by pressing the button and now we can also see the rudder position sensor in the display
8. now it's time to make a sea trial to test the function
9. the interceptors will now assist the boat when turning to increase the comfort and safety on board


Remote Support


A Humphree system can be remotely supported by accessing remote support function

1. To do this power up the system
2. press the menu button and go down to advanced setup
3. enter code A0 and press apply
4. press on to activate the Wi-Fi connection
5. go down to help free remote support and press the right arrow key
6. press on to activate the Wi-Fi connection
7. activate personal hotspot, select your mobile device from the list and enter the password for your mobile device and then press apply
8. when ready is displayed you are done and the Humphrey service team can now connect to your system remotely from the Humphree server
