How should I choose the right Seakeeper?

Choosing the right Seakeeper depends primarily on the length and weight of the boat. Seakeeper has a wide range of models for boats of all kinds


Seakeeper 1: For boats from 7 to 9 meters and weighing up to 5.5 tons

Seakeeper 2: For boats from 9 to 10.5 meters and weighing up to 7.5 tons

Seakeeper 3: For boats from 10.5 to 12 meters and weighing up to 10.5 tons

Seakeeper 5: For boats from 12 to 14 meters and weighing up to 20 tons

Seakeeper 6: For boats from 14 to 16 meters and weighing up to 24 tons

Seakeeper 9: For boats from 15.5 to 16 meters and weighing up to 30 tons

Seakeeper 16: For boats from 18 to 21 meters and weighing up to 50 tons

Seakeeper 18: For boats from 20 to 23 meters and weighing up to 56 tons

Seakeeper 26: For boats from 21 to 25.5 meters and weighing up to 75 tons

Placement on the boat

Options 

  • Seakeeper gyroscopes are placed preferably in the center of the boat and toward the stern for optimal performance.

  • The smaller models (Seakeeper 1-3) can also be placed on the boat deck, under a seat or in storage

  • For bigger Seakeeper models the most common installation location is the engine room. In the event that the space is not sufficient, an authorized workshop can move engine room equipment to create suitable space for the Seakeeper

  • If there really isn't any room for installation, then two smaller units can be fitted that will provide the desired gyroscopic force for the boat. For example, if a vessel needs a Seakeeper 6 and there is no space, two Seakeeper 3 gyros can be installed which will provide the same performance
